Scary Popsicles

Russia’s Stoyn has impaled the heads of movie characters like Freddy Krueger and Chucky on popsicle sticks as a summer treat. The design company was originally contracted to create a slick marketing campaign utilizing infamous slasher icons from the 1980's to sell a product, but when the client balked, Stoyn decided to run with the idea and make the killer popsicle project their own, according to this intriguing news report I read in The Malaysian Insider (August 12, 2012). While currently only available in Moscow, the popsicles will be launched in Europe over the coming months. Each popsicle is €6 (RM23). As the above pictures show, these popsicles look super cool! And yes, mouthwatering too!

On Wednesday, I was at the Deloitte office in Damansara Uptown to attend a Toastmasters meeting organized by the Deloitte KassimChan Toastmasters Club. Unlike the previous meeting (i.e. August 01, 2012) where I had hinted that I was not too happy with the meeting, I considered this said meeting a success – at least by Deloitte standards. After all, Deloitte staff packed the meeting room and even their members turned up. Although none of the speeches were great, I still applauded them because they were delivered with sincerity. .BTW, I became the second Speech Evaluator when the original role player wasn’t able to turn up. This meeting earns a score of 6.5 out of a 10.

I hope Leona and the others can strive to ensure their meetings are well-attended as this meeting was.
