Malaysian Banknotes and Monopoly Money

Malaysia released new banknotes, supposedly with enhanced security features such as a shadow image, clear window, watermark portrait with pixel and highlighted numerals, micro lens thread, perfect see-through register and colored glossy patch. At least that was what I read in The Star on July 17, 2012 (p 03). To me, these notes (above) look a lot like Monopoly money (below)!

On Wednesday, I was at Deloitte KassimChan to attend their Toastmasters meeting. It was a very quiet meeting because there were just eleven of us in attendance. If we minus the four non-Toastmasters, there were only seven of us – of which only one was a member of the in-house club. The rest of us were visitng Toastmasters from three different clubs, i.e. Money & You, D’Utama Advanced and Sunway University. And given the depleted attendance, the meeting dispensed with the Grammarian, Ah Counter and also Table Topics. I would give this meeting a 1 out of a 10 score and I am being really nice!
