UMNO in Red

Najib Razak has let us in on a little secret – he cannot count. And so he made the claim that Bersih may have declined to hold the rally at a stadium because they had been afraid they might not get the numbers. He even mocked the Bersih 3.0 rally, “It seems that we have more than them tonight,” referring to the one hundred thousand UMNO members and supporters (the 100,000 figure was provided by The Star, May 12, 2012, p 12) who turned up at the Bukit Jalil stadium on Friday for UMNO’s 66th anniversary syiok sendiri bash.

And these simpletons came dressed in red. It is intriguing that UMNO chose one exclusive color, red, for this event. I read somewhere that red is associated with vigor, willpower, rage, anger, longing, malice, and wrath. If this is true, I won’t argue, especially when it suggests that the color is about “rage”, “anger”, “malice” and “wrath”. It is obvious that Najib is ready for “war”!

But this Najib is very sly and sneaky. He had his “guests” also fitted in red – a message to the rest of the country that these people are all subservient to UMNO – check out the photo above. Showing their docility, compliance and servility were MCA’s Chua Soi Lek, MIC’s G Palanivel, Sarawak Chief Minister Taib Mahmud, SUPP’s Peter Chin and Gerakan’s Koh Tsu Koon. If you look closely, you will surely notice that they didn’t look happy at all! Yup, Najib’s message was loud and clear!
