Bersih 3.0 is Coming

Just because you have passed on, doesn’t mean you cannot exercise your vote in GE13. Bersih 2.0 cited the failure of the Election Commission to report deaths on the electoral rolls in Sabak Bernam, Sungai Besar, Hulu Selangor and Tanjong Karang in the last quarter of 2011 despite the issuance of death certificates, as proof that fraud still continues.

As I have done, Bersih 2.0 today have called for all election commissioners to resign immediately as they have compromised the integrity of the electoral roll by allowing fraud to continue unabated.

“It shows clearly that the Election Commission has failed in its constitutional duty to ensure a clean and fair election,” A Samad Said, Bersih’s co-Chairperson said today.

Bersih 3.0 is going to be different and bigger. Different because it is probably going to be the last mega demonstration before the general election. Bigger because we must show the government that Malaysians have had enough of the farce about electoral reforms that are not going to happen. Najib cannot afford to gamble on free and fair elections to win GE13; a trickster like him will want to win it the sure way (i.e. read that as “the dishonest way”). I cannot blame him because his job depends on it. Maybe even his marriage.
