That Effing Show: Ah Jib Gor

Today’s New Straits Times has on its front-page the headline “Shahrizat to resign” – a sure sign that the election is around the corner. Najib is about to abandon his “baggage” because he is desperate to win. The Malaysian Insider revealed that sources familiar with Najib’s strategies for the coming GE13 have indicated that BN is also likely to dump its seat-sharing formula in order to regain its two-thirds parliamentary majority and some of the states lost in GE12. This is on the back of the Merdeka Center for Opinion Research who had reported that Najib’s approval rating had climbed to 69 percent. I am sure this has given him a timely boost of confidence to call the election.

Everybody including Najib himself knows the Chinese don’t think much of him. They don't even like him. And we also know that he has set up this Facebook page “Ah Jib Gor” to target the Chinese and try to be one of them!

I had already blogged about this on January 28, 2012 under the posting “Chua Soi Lek Defends Najib”. Still, as at 08:45 AM this morning, Ah Jib Gor has garnered 4,957 likes! But anyway, "That Effing Show" has got into the act and offered some good suggestions for Najib so that he can become popular with the Chinese too:

Yesterday afternoon, I was at the Lafarge office at Damansara Uptown to witness the Joint Area B4 & B5 International Speech & Table Topics Contests. I didn’t have any role but I came anyway because I was hoping to catch some good speeches, especially those for the International Speech category. And I was glad I came – Area B4 contestants like Tammy Lim (Crystal) and Hoo Sze Ling (D’Utama) did well to entertain although I didn’t think their speeches were appropriate for the said contest; they were more suitable for the Humorous Speech contest actually. For Area B5, Chris Chen (MAS Cempaka) spoke well and from the heart. And yup, she was crowned Champion!

Liverpool hit another low when they lost to Sunderland 0-1 in this EPL match that they should have won but didn’t.
