Jessica Ho's Mini-Symposium

I was browsing the Internet and happened to check out the Sunway University website (http://sunway.edu.my/university/index.php) and under “Campus News”, I spotted this report on the SUBS Grand Ball 2011 event titled “Sunway University Business School steps into Hollywood”. It carried a line in para 4 that said: “The night was full of laughter as students also witnessed a chirpy side to the lecturers who put on a sketch dressed as superheroes and villains” as well as this memorable photo (posted at http://sun-u.blogspot.com/2011/11/sunway-university-business-school-steps.html, accessed December 01, 2011):

SUBS Lecturers embraced their alter-egos during the 2011 Grand Ball.

If you didn’t know about these sporting lecturers, check out this blog for the video clips (Parts 1, 2 & 3) – posted on November 11 – where you get to view the action as it unfolds and thirty-four photos of the stars – posted on October 08 – that will certainly convince you how much fun everybody had on that October 07, 2011 night!.

And since I am on the subject of Sunway University, colleague Jessica Ho’s BMB3205 Business and Community Project class were tasked to produce a research paper of conference/publication quality and present their research paper in a form of a mini-symposium. And which they did on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Sunway University’s Auditorium 5. I went to support Ho as well as the students – I know many of them, having taught them in the last semester. Another colleague, Soon Meng caught them on camera – a sample of some of the photos are shown here:
