Najib Has Insomnia

Mariam Mokhtar wrote in Malaysia Today that Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is having sleepless nights over Sarawak and their Chief Minister Taib Mahmud. Najib cannot decide which is worse – a strong opposition movement galvanized by his arch rival, Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim, or Taib whom he deeply mistrusts. I don’t know about Najib’s insomnia but I am reminded that, in politics, there are no permanent friends, only permanent interests!

As far as Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin is concerned, the Interlok issue has been resolved and the Government will not compromise or bow to demands from any party on the book (Star, April 01, 2011, p N2). What will the Chinese groups do? What can they do? The government has effectively closed the door on them. Will they stay quiet or will they raise a vociferous holler?

In the EPL match between Liverpool and West Brom, the latter won over the former by two goals to one. Liverpool is not doing itself any favors with this defeat.
