Bullshit from Mohd Khir

Sometimes I really don’t know what to make of Mohd Khir Toyo – he is just a fake and he loves to turn everything into a circus. When he was Mentri Besar, he drew flak after he proudly presented a “broom award” on November 12 to the Hulu Selangor district council and land office for their failure to collect assessment for 2006 above the stipulated 50% mark (Webpage, posted November 15, 2007). Yesterday, he wrote in his blog that he is returning his “Datuk Seri” title to the Selangor palace to avoid the state award from being tainted during his corruption trial (The Sun, January 13, 2011, p 06). Supposedly, it was the right and honorable thing to do. I have just one word to describe this laughable initiative: Bullshit! Anyway, I don't really believe that this crook will ever do the right and honorable thing. He's a crook, for pete's sake!

I have been missing in action for quite awhile and this evening, I finally attended the D’Utama Advanced Toastmasters meeting. Today’s venue was at The Mage Café in Damansara Jaya, instead of the usual KDU location. It’s nice to know that table topics are back. One point that I wish to bring up is that some members do need to brush up on their English. A second complaint is that they started 20 minutes late and I don’t like it one bit. This club is not what it used to be!

Woeful defending by Liverpool gave Blackpool a 2-1 victory over the Reds. Another painful defeat for the Reds.

Arsenal also lost when a second tier side Ipswich Town beat them 1-0 in the first leg of the Carling Cup.
