Malaysia Protests

Today, I was at the Shah Alam Toastmasters meeting – at the invitation of Sarah Abedi Abdullah – to take on the General Evaluator role. Good meeting overall. This was my fifty-third club that I have been to this year and this was my 129th regular club meeting that I have attended. I think this is also my last Toastmasters meeting that I am likely to attend, given my busy work schedule. Oh yeah, I received a book gift, Jeff Slutsky and Michael Aun’s The Toastmasters International Guide to Successful Speaking. Thanks, people!

According to The Malay Mail, Malaysia’s Foreign Ministry today issued a protest note to Singapore over disparaging remarks made against Malaysian leaders by the republic's Foreign Ministry senior officials to US officials which were exposed by WikiLeaks. Why the protest note? It won’t change anything, will it? After all, those were private reflections of people from across the Causeway who are arrogant, smug and stuck up. Besides, Malaysians know it already that our politicians are indeed incompetent!

Ji-Sung Park's first-half effort handed Manchester United a hard-fought victory over Arsenal that saw them leapfrog their title rivals into top spot. The South Korean improvised superbly to direct Nani's deflected cross over the reach of keeper Wojciech Szczesny (41). The Gunners are still not up to mark!
