Fun Facts on Social Media, et cetera

I stumbled upon this blog (Weblog http://thinkconversation.wordpress.com/2009/11/17/social-marketing-fun-facts-2009-stats/) and this engaging posting by Kanishka Surana, which I am reproducing here – containing fun facts (circa 2009) about Social Media and related technologies:

Social Media has overtaken porn as the number one activity on the Web.
Facebook has more than 250 million active users (more than 120 million users log on to Facebook at least once each day), Skype has 480 million, and PayPal has 75 million. (July 2009)
