A Question of Humility

Koh Tsu Koon’s speech at the Toastmasters International District 51 18th Semi-Annual Convention had advised the audience not to be too humble about their achievements. He also told reporters on that Saturday that humility had not served him well in politics because it gave the wrong impression that he is soft in management (Webpage http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2010/10/31/nation/7335630&sec=nation, posted October 31, 2010).

But having said the above, District 51 Governor Thannimalai, DTM has been urging Toastmasters to be “humble and simple” so that they can work towards “achieving greatness together”.

Koh has presented Toastmasters with a contradiction! And a dilemma!

Liverpool got another hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers when Maxi Rodriguez prodded home after a back-heel flick from Fernando Torres (86). The Reds have now crawled out of the relegation zone and hopefully, they will begin their long climb back to the top of the table.
