Whole Lotta Teaching

I have mentioned previously that (again) I will be knee deep in teaching this semester. This is best illustrated by displaying my timetable. See my overburdened teaching load. Notice how busy I must be. Observe how tireless I must labor. I suppose I must be encouraged by what Aristotle once said: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit".

Zambry, the shameless Perak politician who grabbed power via a backroom coup d‘etat was bragging that UMNO can take 34 seats in the next elections but said he won’t dissolve the state legislature until the next general election. This witless idiot then dared Pakatan Rakyat state assemblymen: “If they are so great, they should resign” (The Star, February 02, 2010, p N15). Now who's the gutless, spineless, cowardly twit? And didn’t Muslih-ud-Din Saadi also said: “A stupid person should keep silent. But if he knew this, he would not be a stupid person”.

I thought Arsene Wenger was being very honest about Arsenal’s last game. He conceded that “the defeat is difficult to accept, but easy to explain, as we were poor defensively and offensively. It is a massive blow and a massive disappointment...” Well, the Gunners will just have to pick themselves up again – the next trial is against Chelsea on Sunday, and Alex Ferguson already expressing the hope that “Arsenal batter them”! (The Sun, February 02, 2010, p 26). Will the Gunners rise up to this challenge? Can they defeat Chelsea? We shall see…
