Girls' Generation

My Business Diploma students seem to be in love with this video clip featuring Girls’ Generation:

I am only reproducing it because I thought the whole performance is like a sudden outbreak of animated joy and cheerful enjoyment. It has that exuberance that is infectious, a real joie de vivre.
For those not familiar with this Korean all-girl group, they are also known as SNSD by international fans, an acronym for their Korean name So Nyeo Shi Dae (소녀시대, or So Nyuh Shi Dae).

Yesterday evening, we braved the rain-soaked traffic to make the 73-minute pilgrimage to Sunway Pyramid. The occasion? We had a farewell dinner for Shireen Ng at Tony Roma’s. We will definitely miss her and of course, we wish her all the very best in her future undertakings.

In football, there’s only disappointing news! Celtic exited the Europa League despite Tony Mowbray's side overcoming Hapoel Tel-Aviv with a 2-0 win in Group C. A win that’s a little too late. And in the Carling Cup, Manchester City sealed a place in the semi-final against arch-rivals Manchester United after beating a youthful Arsenal side 3-0. Sigh.
