Liven Up a Meeting

I find meetings so boring and stodgy, and most of the time, it's just a load of BS. I am of course referrign to HICT management meetings. Sometimes I wonder what their purpose is. A good way to liven up a meeting is to spill coffee on the conference table, produce a little paper boat and sail it down the table! And why not? At least, it keeps us entertained for awhile.

I had a good laugh today when I read in The Malaysian Insider that Deputy Home Minister Abu Seman Yusop had announced in Parliament that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Musa Hassan’s contract was renewed because of his “excellent performance”.

DAP’s Lim Kit Siang was quick to lambast Musa as “incompetent” because the country’s crime rate had taken flight and soared. Despite even government statistics showing that lawlessness had escalated, that it has become a major public concern – Abu Seman defended the IGP, insisting that he had performed to expectations, that he had met all the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the Chief Secretary to the Government.
Wonderful! Now this could serve as a nice bedtime story – one that is light-hearted, farcical and downright hilarious. Good night!
