Andrew the Valedictorian

As this year’s graduation ceremony approaches, and preparations are being quietly made for October 31, I can only see four names – who have qualified for the Gold Key awards – from a list of 40 plus graduands. Just in case you’re wondering, the Gold Key award is presented to students who have earned a CGPA of 3.5 and above. Admittedly, not as easy as we all think! Anyway, this year's Gold Key winners are: Chan Chee Sum (Andrew); Fua Hsien Ming; Ng Ke Xin; and Sarah Beth.

And what’s even better is that Andrew has been selected as the valedictorian. He is most deserving of all the candidates from the graduating class. He has a CGPA of 3.78 (the highest grades) and he has been actively involved in a host of activities from US Mart to Student Representative Council. And more so, because he is SNHU! Congrats, Andrew!

Given that Halloween is just around the corner, I thought it is not inappropriate to mention that exactly two weeks ago, on this day itself, I had experienced the shivers. I had seen the undisguised face of corrupt malevolence. I had seen evil. Help, I need an exorcist.
